Born in Minnesota, Mark has been making music since he was a child. He is largely self-taught, which makes his way of playing guitar and singing unique. His refreshing country and Americana songs are full of original ideas. Olson also has no lack of depth and personality in his music: in his music he sings about his special life story, his divorce and his father who took his own life.
Mark Olson achieved fame with his former band The Jayhawks, but he also delivers impressive work as a solo artist time and time again. After 5 years, Mark has finally released another album. In Iduna he also plays brand new material.
