Friday April 4th Mark Olson will play a solo show in the Hooghe Heeren in Hoogwoud. This famous American songwriter was formerly a member of The Jayhawks who released legendary albums in the nineties such as ‘Hollywood Town Hall’ & ‘Tomorrow The Green Grass’. According to experts and enthusiasts timeless masterpieces.
Mark Olson was born and raised in Minnesota in a family of mostly farmers and teachers. He has been involved with music and instruments since he was twelve and is mostly self-taught. On this tour he plays early Jayhawks songs, Creekdippers work and work from his solo albums. He uses his Qanun (a small type of harp) and his dulcimers a lot on this tour.
